The construction of the Taoyuan Canal irrigation system directly provided water from the Xinfu River and Dahan River Basin, facilitating water supply from the leading channels and the management of irrigation facilities and irrigation water allocation under the jurisdiction.

1956, Daxi Workstation is established.
October 31, 1960, the workstation is rebuilt on the original foundation.
1979, A new two-story building with an approximate area of 200m² is built at the same location.
Location: Original and current address at No. 431, Kangzhuang Road, Daxi Township.
Building and land: it is self- owned land at land plot number 120-5, Shangtianxin Sub-section, Tianxinzi Section, Daxi Township. Prior to 1956, there was a Japanese-style wooden building occupying an area of 200m². Later, a two-story office brick building was constructed.

The workstation manages Xinfu Canal and 6 storage pools directly supplying water from the leading channels of Xizhou Canal, Tuyin Canal, Yuemei Canal, Shunshipu Canal, 13 Zhang Canal, and Taoyuan Canal (downstream from outlet holes No. 1 to No. 10) and with an irrigation area of 801 hectares. In 1970, Xinhai Irrigation Association was merged with the present association. Thereafter, direct water supply outlet hole No. 10 of the leading channels of Taoyuan Canal was expanded and the irrigation area of Erjia 9 Canal irrigation area was increased by 236 hectares. The current irrigation area is 1,037hectares.
