Building and land: it was self-owned land during the period of Japanese rule (located at No. 1005, Ronghe Section, Xinzhuang City, covering an area of 1,056.2m²). In 1974 work began on turning it into a two-story concrete office building (total floor area of 283m²) which was completed in April 1975.

Irrigation Jurisdiction

When the office was first established, it managed 7 canals including Houcun Canal, 12 Gu Canal, Dakekou Canal, Gongguan, Upper Canal, Middle Canal, Lower Canal, and Shuidui Canal, six river weirs, and had an irrigation area of 2,300 hectares, covering 7 towns, townships, and cities. From 1970 to 1981, some areas in Wugu, Luzhou, Sanchong, and Xinzhuang subsided, resulting in seawater intrusion. In addition, the establishment of Wugu Industrial Zone and the rapid development of industry and commerce, and the construction of residential buildings, saw a rapid reduction in irrigation structures and the irrigation area within the jurisdiction. Currently, there are 4 canal roads and two river weirs which still supply irrigation, and the irrigation area is 763 hectares in size.
