The construction of the Taoyuan Canal irrigation system facilitated the management of irrigation facilities and irrigation water allocation for Lateral Canal 2 of Taoyuan Canal.

1948, Renamed Dazhu Management Station.
1956, Renamed the current Dazhu Workstation.
It was originally located at No. 506, Dazhu Road, Luzhu Township.
When it was first set up, a Japanese-style wooden house was built on the land. In 1974, A two-story concrete and steel house was built as the original structure was too old. The building occupies about 500m² of land with a floor area of 170m².The first floor of the two-story building houses the office and the second floor is a staff dormitory.
It relocated to No. 50, Zhongxing 4th Street, 1 Neighborhood, Zhongfu Village, Luzhu Township, Taoyuan County on July 20, 2007. Construction of the new workstation started on March 31, 2006 and was completed on March 6, 2007. It has a total floor area of 486.8m², a building coverage ratio of 22.69%, and a floor area ratio of 43.02%. It is a two-story building with offices on the first floor and staff dormitories on the second floor.
When the workstation was first established it 40 storage pools and 19 river weirs on Lateral Canal 2 of Taoyuan Canal, and had an irrigation area of 4,026 hectares. In 1974, 800 hectares were expropriated to build Chiang Kai-shek Airport. In 1987, 436 hectares of the Kengzikou Sub-workstation were merged with the Taoyuan Workstation for management convenience. The workstation currently has 30 storage pools, 18 critical river weirs, and an irrigation area of 2,826 hectares.
