Introduction
Qinghe Art Park is located next to Linghang North Road in Dayuan District, Taoyuan City, making it the closest park to the High-Speed Rail station and surrounding shopping areas. The park encircles Taoyuan Main Canal Pond No. 5-5, an important irrigation facility for the Qingpu area. Under the careful planning of the Taoyuan Management Office of the Irrigation Agency, the irrigation pond has been successfully transformed into an art park. The park's design theme, "Waterside Art Green Corridor," aims to provide the public with an opportunity to experience the living, production, and ecological functions associated with irrigation.
Within the water area of Pond No. 5-5, art installations have been placed, complemented by newly constructed landscaped walkways around the perimeter as part of a green beautification project. The design incorporates various water resource elements and features artworks that interpret the unique cultural characteristics of Taoyuan's pond system. By integrating the historical and cultural aspects of irrigation, the park creates an environment-friendly atmosphere. This approach allows visitors to gain a deeper understanding of the pond culture in the greater Taoyuan area.
